Recently I was asked to make a set of 6 cards to farewell colleagues from my work.
All the cards were made using Stampin’ Up! products, and new In Colours from the lastest 2012 – 2013 Stampin’ Up! Catalogue. The cards were extra large cards designed so that fellow colleagues could write their messages inside. All cards had a bit of extra bling with Dazzling Details Silver Sparkle dotted around or drawn on top.
This card was made using the full set of Floral Frames Collection Framelits, matching stamp set called Daydream Medallions, and the new Coastal Cabana coloured Cardstock. Background stamp set used was Flowering Flourishes.
This card uses the popular triple time stamping technique and the full set of Labels Collection Framelits. Stamp set used is my current favourite stamp set: Stippled Blossoms.
The next two cards use the large Swallowtail butterfly stamp. The first embossed in white embossing powder onto Whisper White cards stock, then sponged with various Stampin’ Up! classic inks. Small butterflies were stamped in Midnight Muse direct to the card, and also onto Whisper White card. They were punched out with the Elegant Butterfly punch and Bitty Butterfly punches.
The 2nd Swallowtail butterfly embossed in silver embossing powder onto vellum cardstock. The back coloured in with markers, fussy cut out and layered on the top of the card.
This card used the Secret Garden stamp set and matching Framelits. The background Lattice Bigz die was used for the trellis. Based card stock is the new Baked Brown Sugar In Colour, leaves and flowers were stamped in Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Strawberry Slush Classic Inks.
The final card was made using the Flowering Flourishes Stamp set, new air dried clay and flower molds. The flowers were coloured in after making by pressing them into a Strawberry Slush Classic Ink Pad.
