The Stamping Wife

The Stamping Wife
Author Unknown
She learned to stamp on Monday
Her embossing was quite fine.
She forgot to make us dinner,
So we went out to dine.
She brayered backgrounds Tuesday
She says they are a must.
They really were quite lovely
But she forgot to dust.
On Wednesday it was birthday cards
She says that chalking's fun.
Shading, blending, and watercolouring.
But the laundry wasn't done.
Her card swap was on Thursday
Using green and blue and red;
I guess she really was engrossed,
She never made the bed!
It was shaker cards on Friday
Using techniques she just adores,
But she never seemed to notice
The crumbs on all the floors.
I found a maid on Saturday!
My week is now complete
My wife can stamp the hours away,
And the house will still be neat.
Well, it's already Sunday,
And my forehead's feeling damp.
I cursed, I raved, and I ranted. . .
The MAID has learned to stamp!!!

I just found this poem through fellow ESAD sister on Facebook.  I thought it was just hilarious!!

Mother’s Day 2012

For Mother’s Day this year Shakira and I made Coconut Ice Mice for Grandma.

We coloured coconut ice pink and brown for the mice, and some yellow – for cheese. The tails were made from liquorice and they had chocolate button ears, with chocolate for eyes and noses.

Shakira and I stamped and decorated the brown paper to go around the box and shredded brown paper for inside the box.

I found a really cute card on the internet which I cased from here.

ESAD Secret Sister presents.

I recently took part in a Secret Sister swap through ESAD (Extra Special Australian and New Zealand Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators).

The swap ran over three months – from February till April.  The idea was that every month, we were to send 2 cards and a small gift to our secret sister.  At the end of the three months we were to send a larger gift, and tell our Secret Sister who we were.

It was lots of fun and exciting, was hard waiting till the end of the three months to find out who our Secret Sister was.

All these cards and gifts I received from the lovely Narelle Hoggard. Wasn’t I spoilt!!
